Art Techniques - Day 2

We continued our quest today for different art techniques and I think they turned out really well. I particularly love N's - mine (below) turned out a bit darker and more sombre. N needed a bit of help with drawing the tree and you might be able to see a potplant on the 3rd building - that is not just a pot plant, that is a Wollemi Pine ( one of the worlds oldest and rarest plants)!!
Such an easy way to paint a picture - we squeezed 3 different colours along the bottom of the paper and then using bits of cardboard (different widths) we scraped the paint upwards to different heights. We then let it dry and added black paint strips a bit later, for accent and highlighting. Black pens were used for the trees, windows, plants, Mona Lisa, and the clothes lines....etc

Wow, they are fantastic. We just may have a talented painter in our midst who will one day go on to make millions of dollars from selling his art. So very talented.
