A Day at the Vet's

Yesterday we took Spike the dog and Sam the cat to the vet's. Spike needed his booster injection and Sam needed a 'shave'. For a shorthair, his fur is extremely long and once a year he needs a trim. His fur gets all knotted and also gets prickles in it. We had to leave him there for a couple of hours as he needs to be put to sleep for his new hairdo - have a look at the new Sam!!Especially the tail - we keep laughing when we see it but he feels sooooo good. Sam is a bit overweight, weighing in at 8kg! While we waited for Sam and Spike, we had lunch here -
next to the Corny Point lighthouse. It was such a hard thing to do.....lol! Yep, that's me! I'm watching the porpoises riding the waves.

And this is hum (that is Kiwi for him).
He kept telling people that we were away having a romantic day away together!!

The Catch Up Post

Time to do a quick catch up with what has happened this week! Saturday was a beautiful day here - still cool - but sunny and the sea was flat calm. Husband was playing in the Golf finals (he is one of the 'midgets' in the centre of the black!). He didn't win but had a nice walk around the golf course!! (I had intended to take a closeup but the battery went flat before I had the chance.)
Friday saw the postie being extra special to me and delivering some gorgeous magazines that I had ordered from USA. It was the same price for postage if I got 1 or 3 magazines, so any wise shopper would opt for 3 - right???? Any magazine from Stampington is a good one!
Look who's watching me work on the computer - "Lord Boswell". I think he's praying that the mouse I am using would become a real one..... Spike - we can't believe how much he has grown in just 2 weeks. He hasn't worked out why the other fluffy animals in the house don't want to play with him yet and they just hisssss back!
He loves to lick out the Yogo containers after the boys have finished eating them.
