Art Techniques - Day 3

This is day 3 of our quest for different ways to create art.
The trees were done using pieces of cardboard and pressing the edges into paint and then onto the paper. What an easy way to paint a straight line! By using different widths of cardboard, you can get the small branches, twigs etc.
Then onto the birds - they were made with pieces of potato cut to shape and then stamped into the paint and onto the paper. The heads were just painted with our fingers and the tails were created by using the cardboard trick again and fanning the paint out.
My participants, weren't as willing today - as this was my choice of project - and they were feeling a bit tired after a sleepover at their cousins.....but they said at the end that they had enjoyed it and that is the aim of the game!

This is the little book that all of these ideas are coming from, for those who have asked.

How are the swimming lessons going?? For some unknown reason many Mexicans choose not to learn to swim. In fact most of the fishermen can't swim??? That makes no sence to me at all.
