New Life

As we all know the egg signifies new life and this is certainly the case in our last item for The Chocolate Crow Trader this month. Marion has been needlefelting this egg and nearly threw it in the rubbish as it wasn't going to plan, but after a conference and exchanging some ideas, she has finished it with a flourish and it has become my favourite item for this month's offerings.

It has different coloured, patterned eggs needlefelted right around it.

And attached to an old funnel.

Am I just biased or do you think it's lovely too??

A very sweet egg I have to say, and yes lovely too! I love the funnel as the stand! Very cool.

What a gorgeous egg!! Looks like you are getting ready for Easter too! In answer to your query, I got my cupcake liners from Spotlight (Robert Gordon brand) - they are such sweet pastel colours - I couldn't resist the polka dots.

it is a lovely egg. Thank you for your hints on the dyeing and crackling Christina. My husband thought that the crackle medium may have been old stock as well. I am wondering if I should put the same piece of fabric back into the dye remover again? What do you think?
