I WANT a new computer monitor!!

I thought I might get it for Mother's Day but no - I'm told that I must be patient and see if it can be fixed before we look at buying a new one. You see when I am looking at the screen everything is blue/green colours, so that makes it very hard for editing photos and checking that they aren't too light or dark etc. The computer man was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago and we (I) am still waiting! - patiently that is.....believe that or not! So I hope this photo of my mum is OK and that she doesn't look like Kermit the frog! A very belated "Happy Mother's Day' to my mother - known to all her family as RR. At nearly 79, she still cooks for the family every Sunday lunch - usually 17 of us, she has never been to a hairdresser or touched a bottle of haircolour and she has never worn makeup. Not bad for an old chook, is she?? RR is an avid knitter and has knitted over 550 jumpers for charity, from donated wool, usually knitting 2 jumpers a week. She never follows a pattern or colourway but her jumpers are always colourful and interesting! On Wednesday mornings she bakes 60++ muffins for morning tea at the Church Craft group and some also get delivered to the doctor and policeman - and often visitors to the craft group will go home with a few in a bag as well.
When I grow up, I am going to be like her.............
The Phantom of the Opera won us over. I was watching number 1 cherub during the performance and thought he was bored silly at some points but no, at the end both cherubs gave it 10/10. Cherub 2 smiled throughout the show - all was right in his world! Both boys said it was better than Le Grand Cirque which we had seen earlier in the year and now want to see Cats when it comes to Adelaide in January 2010. See our cherubs are all cultural & edified now.
Melissa, a friend of ours has just started her own blog, you will thoroughly enjoy her view on life and what she has to offer. I know she would appreciate it, if you stopped by her blog and said 'hello'.

I hope you get your new monitor :)
Most of the time the cost of repairing them is more than a new one would be! You should try these people, if the Adelaide locations are close to you, they're pretty much the cheapest computer parts you can get http://msy.com.au/
I am lucky to have one right near my home!
Your mother sounds amazing! What a busy wonderful woman!
Enjoy CATS when it comes to town. I remember seeing it with my mum at age 12, and seeing it again at 18, it was my introduction to theatre and I loved every minute of it.

Christina, your Mum sounds like such a beautiful woman and I bet all those things that she does are what keeps her young.
Hope you get a new monitor. I recently got a lovely new flat screen one and it's great.

Oye Christina,

You are so much more patient then I would be. I'm afraid my must be patient time would have run out days ago and then I'm not sure how but darn if a new monitor followed me me home :)
