Roast Almond Slice

A friend requested this recipe so I thought it might be something that I could share with you all. It is very easy but not the cheapest!
60g butter
1/4 cup golden syrup
200g condensed milk
250g Milk Arrowroot biscuits (crushed)
50g slivered almonds (toasted)
250g Roast Almond Chocolate
Melt butter, golden syrup, condensed milk together (microwave is fine) - stir well. Stir in biscuit crumbs and almonds then press into a 28cmx18cm slice tin.
Roughly chop the chocolate and melt in microwave. Spread over crumb base and leave to set at room temperature.
** I usually add some more almonds to the chocolate - as we like nuts**

Yummmm. I love the combination of nuts and chocolate. Shame about the diet however. Oh well I guess I could squeeze in a slice or twenty!!!!!
Ps thanks for your kind comment on my blog. As my first comment I was very touched.
