Never Worry

This piece has just been finished and is destined for The Chocolate Crow Trader this month. It is inspired by the work and techniques of dj Pettit and Rebecca Sower (see my sidebar for their blogs).
I've been thinking about making these little poppy like flowers for sometime. When I was young my mother used to singe the end of my hair ribbons so that they wouldn't fray. I was pretty sure that it should work on little circles of ribbon as well - and yes it does.

I always love the way the different layers of your collages always fit so perfectly together without becoming overwhelming!!

Your singed edge flowers are cool. Some where I have instructions on making bigger flowers out of georgette then singe the edges so they curl in like petals. Have you tried that?? I'll see if I can find the tutorial and send it to you :)
