Charming Day

Charming no. 1 = These charms were finished over the weekend - they are to be attached to coathangers as a gift (from the mother of the bride to the wedding party). The back of the charm has a piece of printed fabric whilst the front is a bunch of tulips and their initial.
Marion has made the coathangers so once we have tied the charms to the
coathangers I'll show you the finished product.
Originally it was to be ribbon embroidered tulips but
I'm sure a young wedding party would like the charms better.Charming no. 2 = I received these goodies from Kylie as part of her Pay it Forward pledge. They are so well made and very cute! Thank you Kylie.Charming no. 3 = I participated in my first ATC swap with the theme "Twisted". It was interesting to see all the techniques used and the different 'takes'. My ATC is the one with the "mad monkey scientist" who has been so twisted that his body has been split in two - he's holding some paper dolls that he has cut out! I have a spare ATC (maybe 2?)so if anyone would like to swap one with me, just let me know. (Sorry I don't know why you can't click on the photo for a better look - if you would like to see a more detailed photo I will do it in another post)Charming no. 4 = Probably for farmers and those of us who were needing to wash our cars.....it is raining. I think it is probably the heaviest rain we have had this year - including thunder, lightening and hailstones.

Charming no. 5 = Melissa's giveaway. You have until this Wednesday to leave a comment about your favourite season and you will have a chance to win this bundle of lovely goodies.

Charming no. 6 = I'm very, very close to my 200th post

Not so Charming = I haven't got a giveaway organised yet to celebrate the 200th!

Chocolate Crow out today

The new 'edition' of The Chocolate Crow Trader will be online today and I realise that I haven't shown all of our items yet on the blog like usual. This month they are all "One Onlys" - no orders taken. I'm finally ready to part with the "Thoughtful Hearts" collage (well I think I am!)

I did show you this one a while back - called "Never Worry" and sits in a vintage flower frog.
SOLD

And this is "Borat" - bet that makes you smile!

I told you about my mother in the last post (& thankyou for all the lovely comments about her). Last Friday she went for her regular eye checkup and the optician was asking what she does to keep busy so Mum told him about the knitting and the muffins (and she reminded me this morning that it is usually 100 muffins she bakes each week, not 60 like I said) and the optician said to her that she wasn't to pay for the new glasses that she needed, he wanted to give them to her.
We hear of "Pay - it - Forward" and "Random Acts of Kindness" a lot over the internet, but its nice that this time it is "close to home'.

One being posted

One of my "Pay It Forward" gifts will be posted tomorrow - wonder if it is going to Scotland, Canada, Queensland or Perth.......mmmmm??????????

Yesterday's Post

Well it seems that a lot of us women have the same kinds of difficulties with our husbands. Makes you wonder where their brains are sometimes - and of course they can't multi-task like we do!

If you would like to join in with a Pay It Forward - the lovely Lisa of Inn Country is running one on her blog. She is needing a couple of more 'players' .....and who doesn't like to receive gifts??? Details are on her blog.
While you are checking out her blog, she has a very easy and yummy looking recipe on there for Rum Balls.

I'm a PIF-fer

Does that sound a bit rude?? It's not supposed to - PIF stands for..............I am lucky enough to be part of A Bite of Country Cupcakes "Pay-it-forward" exchange - Thanks Kylie.
This is such a wonderful idea and one that we should use every day that we can - not just in blogland but to those around in our own communities....but in this instance it is in the blogland community.

It is based on the concept of the movie "Pay It Forward", where acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return, just passing it on, hoping that the recipients will do the same and pay it forward, like a never ending chain of kindness...

So do you want to play with me? The first 3 visitors to visit my blog and leave a comment saying they would like to be involved will receive a handmade gift from me within 365 days of joining . You need to follow up with an email to me to confirm your spot!

These 3 visitors must have their own blog, place the PIF logo on your blog and link it back to me.Then you must be prepared to offer the same, to the first 3 visitors to visit your blog. And follow the above steps as I have done. There is plenty of time - we have a year! and you won't know when you will receive it so it will be a big surprise. I am happy to post internationally so don't let that stop you from joining in .....AND just so the non-bloggers don't feel left out, if you don't have a blog, I will offer one handmade gift to a non-blogger - but you have to promise to make something for someone else at some stage.
