I recently saw a book that I thought looked pretty interesting and when I did a search on it, it was apparent that the book hadn't made it to our shores yet.
I try to support
Fishpond (Australia/NZ version of Amazon)whenever possible but this time I found The Book Depository in UK. Not only were the prices comparable to Amazon's but they have free international postage! How enticing is that?!

Thanks for that , I'm a real bookworm and will go and have a look . I've been looking at your slideshow below , absolutely beautiful !
Thaks!!!
I've heard others talk about these guys too. I think I'm off to check them out!! Especially if you can get books published in other countries. Amazon is really terrible about carrying about that!! :(

Oh goody, more books to buy! Had a looky, their prices are very good!
I think I owe you an apology Christina. I forgot to get back to you with hotel information for the USA. I'm guessing it's too late now. I forgot all about it until I saw you travel journal post!
No affiliation but I just love the Book Depository. As far as I know it is a family owned company so not on a massive scale like Amazon but I find them far superior to Amazon. They suffered really badly a few years ago in the floods we had in the UK, but they seem to have managed to make a full recovery.
Oh yeah - I love that site - free postage on books - too hard to resist! Like you I try to support Aussie sellers but sometimes it is hard to find technical books here so I have to head off shore .... So which book did you buy?
I have always been an avid supported of Fishpond and my wishlist is quite impressive but, when I checked out the BD I think I wept!! The prices are amaaaazing and it's all free shipping!! My purse feels LOT lighter and I have wasted precious sewing time filling THAT wish list!! Thanks Christina!!
